Gold Demand in India Surges by 5% in 2024; 2025 Projection at 700-800 Tonnes: World Gold Council
- Gold demand in India increased by 5% in 2024, reaching 802.8 tonnes, as per the latest World Gold Council (WGC) report.
- Gold investment in India witnessed a significant rise of 60%, touching $18 billion (~₹1.5 lakh crore) in 2024, compared to the previous year.
- The WGC report also highlighted that investment demand for gold reached 239 tonnes, marking the highest level since 2013.
