Uttarakhand Hosts the 38th National Games with ‘Tejaswini’ Torch Relay
- Uttarakhand will host the 38th National Games for the first time, marking a historic moment for the state.
- The torch, named ‘Tejaswini,’ was launched from Haldwani by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and will cover a distance of 3,823 kilometers across 99 locations in 13 districts.

Decline in Rural-to-Urban Migration in India
- The Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) reported a significant reduction in domestic migration, with a drop of 53.7 million migrants in 2023—a decline of 11.8% compared to 2011.
- The overall migration rate fell from 37.6% in 2011 to 28.9% in 2023. Specifically, economic migration decreased by 5 million, declining from 45 million in 2011 to 40 million in 2023.
PM Modi Launches Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 13-kilometer stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor on January 5, 2025.
