Project PARI: Bringing Public Art to Life
The Ministry of Culture, via the Lalit Kala Akademi (LKA) and National Gallery of Modern Arts (NGMA), is spearheading the Public Art of India (PARI) initiative.
Under this project, the focus is on preserving public art, with LKA ensuring long-term sustainability through regular care, protection from environmental factors, and professional restoration work.
The campaign transforms Delhi’s public spaces into vibrant hubs of artistic expression, turning them into cultural landmarks.
Traditional Indian art styles such as Phad, Thangka, Gond, and Warli are being showcased.
Over 200 artists have participated, boosting both national pride and global recognition for India’s cultural heritage.
KVIC’s Special Event in Delhi
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), which functions under the Ministry of MSME, hosted a special exhibition and toolkit distribution program.
The event took place at ‘Khadi and Village Industries Bhawan’, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi, aiming to support rural industries and promote khadi products.
India Enforces Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Imports
India has imposed anti-dumping duties on five products from China to protect domestic manufacturers from unfairly low-priced imports.
The products include:
Soft Ferrite Cores
Vacuum insulated flasks
Aluminium foil
Trichloro Isocyanuric Acid
PVC Paste Resin
These duties, recommended by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), are valid for up to five years.
For instance, Soft Ferrite Cores may attract up to 35% duty, while others face specific per-tonne tariffs.
Eri Silk Gets Certified for Global Market
The North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC) has obtained the Oeko-Tex certification from Germany for eri silk.
This ensures that eri silk is eco-friendly, chemical-free, and fit for international trade.
The certification enhances consumer trust and positions India strongly in luxury textile markets.

Remittance Shift: U.S. and U.K. Take the Lead
As per the latest RBI bulletin, remittances from countries like the U.S. and U.K. have overtaken Gulf nations as top sources of foreign inflows into India.
In FY24, these developed nations accounted for 40% of remittances, up from 26% in FY17.
The U.S. remained the largest contributor with 28%, while the U.K. surged from 3% to 10.8%.
Other contributors include Canada, Australia, and Singapore, driven by Indian professionals and students abroad.
MSME Definition Revised – Effective April 2025
The Indian government has revised the criteria for MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) classification, starting April 1, 2025.
Announced during Union Budget 2025, the new limits are designed to boost business prospects and increase credit access.
Updated thresholds:
Micro: Investment up to ₹2.5 crore; Turnover up to ₹10 crore
Small: Investment up to ₹25 crore; Turnover up to ₹100 crore
Medium: Investment up to ₹125 crore; Turnover up to ₹500 crore
These changes aim to expand MSME eligibility and drive economic growth.

IRDAI Appoints Five Experts to Insurance Advisory Committee
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has added five new members to its Insurance Advisory Committee.
Appointed under Section 25 of the IRDA Act, 1999, the new members are:
