Manipur Observes Khongjom Day 2025 to Honour Heroes of the Anglo-Manipur War
On April 23, 2025, Manipur commemorated Khongjom Day to remember the bravery of its warriors in the 1891 Anglo-Manipur War.
The state-level event was held at the Khongjom War Memorial Complex in Khebaching, Thoubal district.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has announced a 1% Tax Collected at Source (TCS) on luxury items priced above ₹10 lakh.
This update comes under the Income Tax (Eleventh Amendment) Rules, 2025, modifying the Income Tax Rules, 1962.

Jitendra Srivastava Assumes Role as CMD of REC Limited
Jitendra Srivastava has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of REC Ltd.
