New Chief Minister of Delhi Government
- Rekha Gupta, a first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi, making her the fourth woman to hold this position in the state. The ceremony took place at a grand event at Ramlila Ground.
- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the government after 27 years, securing 48 seats in the 70-member Delhi Legislative Assembly.

Uttarakhand Officer Uses Technology to Combat Forest Fires
- Uttarakhand Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer Vaibhav Singh has created a Forest Fire App inspired by technologies from Canada, Australia, and South Africa to combat the growing threat of forest fires.
- The app enhances fire detection, response efficiency, and real-time tracking of firefighting teams.
- After several updates and years of development, the app was successfully tested in Rudraprayag from 2020 to 2022.
- It has significantly reduced response time to just five hours and features GPS-based fire location tracking, along with real-time monitoring of firefighters and 40 firefighting vehicles.
- Currently, 7,000 forest personnel are part of the system, and plans for further expansion are in progress.
