Shri Amit Shah Inaugurates ₹708 Crore Development Projects in Gandhinagar and Applauds ‘Operation Sindoor’
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, initiated and laid the foundation for multiple developmental initiatives amounting to ₹708 crore in Gandhinagar.
These works were launched in conjunction with a benefit-distribution event organized by the Department of Posts.
During his address, Shri Shah highlighted the triumph of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which involved India’s retaliatory operations following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Foundation Stone Laid for ₹42.4 Crore Integrated Aquapark in Tripura under PMMSY
Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) laid the foundation stone for an Integrated Aquapark located in Kailashahar, Tripura.
This project, costing ₹42.4 crores, is being developed under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
The aquapark is envisioned to enhance the fisheries sector in Tripura using cutting-edge technology, integrated farming models, and innovation.
A Fish Festival, celebrating the state’s aquatic biodiversity, was also held as part of the event.
Release of Coffee Table Book on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban in Nagaland

India Marks 125 Years of Solar Research with Commemorative Stamp for Kodaikanal Observatory
The Department of Posts introduced a commemorative postal stamp to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory.
The event was conducted at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) in Bengaluru on May 17, 2025.
The stamp pays homage to the observatory’s pivotal role and long-standing legacy in solar astrophysics since its inception in 1899.
Punjab National Bank to Sell Entire Stake in Isarc for ₹34 Crore
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has entered into an agreement to divest its complete shareholding in India SME Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd (Isarc).
The total stake, comprising 2.09 crore shares, is being sold at ₹16.29 per share, amounting to ₹34.04 crore.
The divestment is anticipated to be finalized by the end of the first quarter of the 2025–26 fiscal year and is part of PNB’s portfolio streamlining efforts.

HPE India Appoints Bhawna Agarwal as SVP and Managing Director
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has named Bhawna Agarwal as its new Senior Vice President (SVP) and Managing Director (MD) for India, with immediate effect.
She will report directly to Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer of HPE.
Bhawna Agarwal replaces Som Satsangi, who is set to retire after a tenure exceeding 27 years with the company.
Satsangi, who became the MD of HPE India in 2016, will continue with the organization until July 2025.
