PM Modi Inaugurates Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and New Vande Bharat Trains
On September 16, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service, which will operate between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. Dubbed the Vande Metro, this service will cover a distance of 360 kilometers in approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, making stops at nine stations along its route. Additionally, Modi flagged off several new Vande Bharat Express trains on different routes, including Nagpur-Secunderabad, Kolhapur-Pune, and Pune-Hubballi. Furthermore, a 20-coach Vande Bharat train connecting Varanasi and Delhi was introduced during the event.

Angkor Wat Named Most Photogenic UNESCO World Heritage Site in Asia
As announced by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on September 15, 2024, Angkor Wat in Cambodia has been named the most photogenic UNESCO World Heritage site in Asia by Times Travel. The announcement, made via his official Telegram channel, referenced a list by the Times of India, which ranked Angkor Wat at the top of the list of Asia’s ten most photogenic UNESCO sites.

J&K Unveils ‘Vote Ka Tyohar’ Theme Song
Ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Jammu and Kashmir has launched a theme song titled ‘Vote Ka Tyohar’ to promote voter participation. The song was released by CEO Pandurang K Pole and aims to inspire voters across the Union Territory to cast their votes in the Assembly Elections, scheduled to begin on September 18, 2024, across seven districts in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

Jordan’s King Appoints New Prime Minister Post-Parliamentary Elections
Following recent parliamentary elections in Jordan, King Abdullah II accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh, who had been in office since October 2020.
