Denmark Inaugurates World’s First Industrial-Scale e-Methanol Facility
Denmark has become home to the first-ever commercial-scale e-methanol plant.
Situated in Kasso in southern Denmark, the facility involved an estimated investment of €150 million (approximately $167 million).
The plant is projected to produce 42,000 metric tonnes or 53 million liters of e-methanol annually.

Dr Manoj Kumar Jhawar Appointed CMD of PTC India Limited
Dr Manoj Kumar Jhawar has formally assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) at PTC India Limited as of May 13.
His selection was endorsed by the company’s Board on April 26.
He had been managing the CMD responsibilities on an interim basis since June 13, 2024.
He will continue in this capacity until he reaches the official retirement age of 60.
Anita Anand of Indian Descent Sworn in as Canada’s Foreign Minister
Anita Anand, aged 58, has taken the oath as Canada’s new Foreign Minister following a Cabinet reshuffle led by Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Upholding her tradition, she swore her oath on the Bhagavad Gita.
Previously, she held the position of Defence Minister from 2021 to 2023.
