FIEO Launches SheTrades India Hub to Support Women Entrepreneurs
- The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has introduced the SheTrades India Hub to empower women entrepreneurs and enhance India’s export sector.
- This initiative is a part of the global SheTrades Commonwealth+ Programme led by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and funded by the UK Government.
- With this launch, FIEO has become the host institution for the 20th SheTrades Hub globally.
Assam to Launch ‘ASSAMSAT’ for Development and Governance
- Assam is set to launch its first-ever satellite, ‘ASSAMSAT,’ to enhance governance and development through space technology.
- The announcement was made by Finance Minister Ajanta Neog during the presentation of the 2025-26 state budget in the Assembly.
- The satellite will provide crucial data to improve the management of socio-economic initiatives, benefiting sectors like agriculture, disaster management, infrastructure, border security, and law enforcement.

- The 6th edition of the Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) and the 4th edition of the ‘Bangosagar’ bilateral naval exercise between India and Bangladesh commenced on March 10, 2025.
- The exercises, which will run until March 12, 2025, are being held in the Bay of Bengal.
- According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), these regular exercises have strengthened maritime cooperation and interoperability between the two navies.
