FIEO Launches SheTrades India Hub to Support Women Entrepreneurs

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has introduced the SheTrades India Hub to empower women entrepreneurs and enhance India’s export sector.
This initiative is a part of the global SheTrades Commonwealth+ Programme led by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and funded by the UK Government.
With this launch, FIEO has become the host institution for the 20th SheTrades Hub globally.

Assam to Launch ‘ASSAMSAT’ for Development and Governance

Assam is set to launch its first-ever satellite, ‘ASSAMSAT,’ to enhance governance and development through space technology.
The announcement was made by Finance Minister Ajanta Neog during the presentation of the 2025-26 state budget in the Assembly.
The satellite will provide crucial data to improve the management of socio-economic initiatives, benefiting sectors like agriculture, disaster management, infrastructure, border security, and law enforcement.

India and Bangladesh Begin Joint Maritime Exercises ‘Corpat’ and ‘Bangosagar’

The 6th edition of the Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) and the 4th edition of the ‘Bangosagar’ bilateral naval exercise between India and Bangladesh commenced on March 10, 2025.
The exercises, which will run until March 12, 2025, are being held in the Bay of Bengal.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), these regular exercises have strengthened maritime cooperation and interoperability between the two navies.
The initiative aims to bolster regional security and support economic growth in the area.

CCRH and Adamas University Collaborate to Advance Homoeopathy Research

The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy and Adamas University, Kolkata, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance academic and research collaboration in homoeopathy.
This partnership aims to foster scientific research, interdisciplinary studies, and knowledge-sharing in alternative medicine.
The Ministry of Ayush has highlighted that this initiative will contribute to integrating homoeopathy into mainstream healthcare.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between National Highways Logistics Management Limited and the Inland Waterways Authority of India for the establishment of a Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement was formalized in the presence of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal.
