THDC Enters Thermal Power Sector with 660-MW Plant in Uttar Pradesh
- THDC India Ltd (THDCIL) has successfully commenced commercial operations of a 660-MW unit at the Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant (STPP) in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
- This marks THDCIL’s first venture into the domestic thermal power sector.
- The 1,320-MW project (comprising two 660-MW units) is being developed at an estimated investment of ₹13,000 crore.
- The second unit is expected to be operational soon.
- The plant is equipped with Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) technology, ensuring cleaner emissions and supporting India’s sustainable energy goals.

14th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum 2025
