As per a report by the Airports Council International (ACI), India is projected to be the fastest-growing large aviation market in the world by the year 2026.

Radar Speed Equipment Rules under Legal Metrology to Be Enforced from July 1, 2025
The Department of Consumer Affairs has issued a notification under the Legal Metrology Rules, 2011.
The notification introduces mandatory regulations concerning the use of radar-based equipment for measuring vehicle speed.
These standards are aimed at enhancing road safety and ensuring that enforcement of speed regulations is based on scientifically verified methods.
PM Modi’s Visit to Saudi Arabia: Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake an official visit to Saudi Arabia from April 22 to April 23, 2025.
This will be his first visit to the Kingdom during his third term in office.
During the visit, PM Modi will hold high-level discussions with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, addressing regional stability and new avenues for bilateral collaboration
India’s Pharma Exports Cross Historic $30 Billion Mark in FY25
In the financial year 2024–25, India’s pharmaceutical sector achieved a milestone by surpassing $30 billion in export value for the first time.
A major boost came from a significant 31% year-on-year increase in exports during March 2025.
Despite international hurdles like geopolitical tensions and looming tariff threats from the U.S., Indian pharmaceutical exports showed strong resilience.
The United States remained the top destination for India’s pharma shipments.
Justice Dinesh Maheshwari Appointed Law Commission Chairperson
Justice (Retired) Dinesh Maheshwari, a former Supreme Court judge, has been named as the new Chairperson of the Law Commission of India in April 2025.
Other notable appointments include:
Hitesh Jain, a practicing lawyer.
P. Verma, an academician and member of the 22nd Law Commission.
Their appointments will remain valid until August 31, 2027.

Zepto Renames Parent Company Ahead of Potential IPO
Zepto, a fast-growing startup in the quick-commerce sector, has officially changed its parent company’s name from Kiranakart Technologies Private Limited to Zepto Private Limited.
The name change has received formal approval from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) in Mumbai.
This renaming process is seen as a preparatory step for Zepto’s possible future entry into the stock market through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
In India, such a legal name change involves shareholder approval, followed by requisite filings with the RoC, and final clearance from the central government.
This strategic move is consistent with what other leading firms like Swiggy (formerly Bundl Technologies) and Zomato (now Eternal Limited) did before their respective IPOs.
