  • Following the summit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka to reinforce bilateral relations.

Centre Holds Back SSA Funds for Three States

  • The Central Government has not disbursed funds under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal for FY 2024–25.

  • This funding delay occurred despite approved allocations and was disclosed by Minister of State for Education, Jayant Choudhary, in a written reply to CPI(M) MP John Brittas in the Rajya Sabha.

Warangal’s Chapata Chilli Secures GI Tag

  • The Chapata chilli, a distinct variety grown in Thimmapur of the united Warangal district in Telangana, has been awarded the Geographical Indication (GI) tag.
