    • Child Helpline (1098) – operational 24/7 for immediate assistance.

Reserve Bank of India Grants One-Year Extension to IndusInd Bank CEO Sumant Kathpalia

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved only a one-year extension for Sumant Kathpalia, the Managing Director (MD) & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IndusInd Bank.
  • This decision came despite the IndusInd Bank Board’s proposal for a three-year extension.
  • This marks the second consecutive time that the RBI has sanctioned a shorter tenure instead of a full three-year term.
  • As per an official exchange notification, Kathpalia’s reappointment will now be effective from March 24, 2025, to March 23, 2026.
