- Since the announcement of their withdrawal on May 19, 2023, only ₹6,471 crore worth of ₹2000 notes remain in circulation.
- The initial deadline for exchange and deposit was October 7, 2023, but the facility has been extended to ensure accessibility for the remaining holders of these notes.
