    • On February 14, 2025, the Indian Navy launched its eighth Missile Cum Ammunition (MCA) Barge, LSAM 11 (Yard 79) at Mira Bhayandar, Maharashtra.
    • The vessel, built by M/s SECON Engineering Projects Pvt Ltd, Visakhapatnam, will enhance the Navy’s logistical support and operational efficiency.
    • The launch event was presided over by Commodore N Gopinath, AGM (PL) at Naval Dockyard Mumbai.
  • Matsya-6000: India’s Deep-Ocean Submersible Completes Wet Testing
    • The Matsya-6000, a fourth-generation deep-sea human submersible developed under the Samudrayan Project, successfully completed wet testing.
    • The project, spearheaded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), aims to boost India’s deep-sea exploration capabilities.
    • The submersible, capable of reaching depths of up to 500 meters, is designed to accommodate three people and incorporates advanced deep-sea technology.
