- The European Union (EU) has officially approved Bulgaria and Romania for full membership in the Schengen zone, effective from the beginning of next year, ending a prolonged wait of 13 years.

India, Brazil, and South Africa Collaborate on Digital Governance Infrastructure
- The G20 Troika countries — India, Brazil, and South Africa — have unveiled a landmark joint declaration centered on the use of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data for governance.
- The declaration comes at a time when global economic growth is hovering at just over 3%, marking one of the slowest growth rates in this century.
